THE ITALIAN SB20 CLASS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST ACTIVE FLEETS IN THE HISTORY OF SB20. WITH UNFORGETTABLE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND SEASON SERIES ON LAKE GARDA THE LEGACY OF THE CLASS REMAINED STRONG. IN THE RECENT DECADE THE ITALIAN SB20 CLASS BASE HAS MOVED AROUND THE COUNTRY UNTIL 2025, WHEN DEVOTI SAILING CAME ONBOARD AS THE CLASS BUILDER. IN JOINT EFFORTS OF THE ITALIAN SB20 SAILORS AND ENTHUSIASTS, THE NETTUNO YACHT CLUB AND LUCA DEVOTI, THE CLASS HAS NOW FOUND A NEW BASE IN ANZIO, NEAR ROME, AND WILL HOST THE 2028 SB20 WORLDS. THE HISTORY OF SB20 IN ITALY COUNTS TWO FANTASTIC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS (2010 & 2015) AT BEAUTIFUL LAKE GARDA. AT THE MOMENT THE BIGGEST ITALIAN SB20 FLEET IS IN ANZIO WITH APPROXIMATELY 20 BOATS. MORE BOATS ARE PRIVATELY OWNED AND SPREAD AROUND ITALY. IN ANZIO THE FLEET IS ACTIVE WITH A NUMBER OF EVENTS SCHEDULED FOR THE SEASON CULMINATING WITH THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. THE ANZIO YACHT CLUB IS RENOWNED FOR BIG INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, INCLUDING ILCA, FINN AND OTHER SAILING CLASSES.
